DEFEA’s Scheduled Events
A series of conferences and informative events are scheduled for the days of DEFEA Exhibition. Specifically:
On Tuesday 13th of July, DEFEA’s Opening Ceremony will take place at 12.00.
At 14.00, the Minister of National Defence ,Nicos Panagiotopoulos will host a “Ministerial Roundtable Discussion on the European Defence Initiatives”, during which EU Defence Ministers will discuss the importance of the EU Defence Initiatives (PESCO, CARD, EDP) in promoting defence cooperation between the Member States.
Following that, at 16.00, the “Workshop with Industry: Opportunities offered by EU Defence capability development tools” will take place. This Workshop will aim at promoting the need for a capability-driven and competitive European Defence Technological and Industrial Base in the framework of the main EU Defence Initiatives.
On Wednesday 14th of July, the second day of the Exhibition, at 11.00, a conference organized by ROTA SA and SEKPY (Hellenic Manufacturers Of Defence Material Association on “The Development of the Greek Defence Industry” with keynote speaker Mr. Adonis Georgiadis, Minister of Development and Investments will take place.
The same day, at 15.00, the Directorate of Defence Investments & Technological Research – General Directorate for Defence Investments & Armaments of the Hellenic Ministry of National Defence will organize the “European Defence Fund (EDF) Info Day. Presentations by GDDIA/D: ”GDDIA the roadmap to EDIDP and EDF” and EC/DG DEFIS: “The EDF opportunities for the industry”.
