She emphasized that this initiative highlights “the contemporary, vibrant, and often undiscovered facets of Greece, offering a fresh perspective on the country’s unique allure.”

Ms. Kefalogianni underscored Monocle’s ability to transcend conventional narratives, combined with its focus on travel, culture, and design, stating that it “perfectly aligns with our vision and supports our goal to showcase a bright and creative Greece in a fresh and dynamic way.”

Today’s travelers, she noted, are increasingly drawn to immersive cultural experiences and destinations prioritizing sustainability. “Greece possesses all the essential elements to meet these expectations, offering a perfect blend of tradition, natural beauty, and sustainable tourism practices,” Ms. Kefalogianni highlighted.

Regarding the framework of this collaboration, the Minister explained that Monocle’s print publications, digital newsletters, and events will serve as key vehicles to promote Greece’s strengths to a discerning global audience, not only in established markets but also in emerging ones.

As part of the initiative, Ms. Kefalogianni introduced a special 250-page publication, The Monocle Handbook: Greece. This comprehensive guide spotlights some of Greece’s most remarkable destinations, ranging from innovative retailers and elegant hotels to leading museums and art galleries.
